Institute of Advanced Research boys hostel facilities include bed, mattress, pillow, study table, chair, cupboard and provide comfortable accommodation to the outstation students. Both AC and non AC rooms are available. The hostels are enabled with wi-fi. Mess facility is also there, where vegetarian food is served. 

The hostel rooms are well-ventilated and well-lit. IAR Gandhinagar girls hostels are equipped with all basic facilities like furniture, appliances, hot water facility in the bath, etc. Students can also access the wifi facility for academic purposes. Vegetarian meals are served in the hostel mess.

IAR Gandhinagar library facilities include textbooks, reference books, national and international journals, periodicals, newspapers, magazines, etc. The library also has computers, connected with the internet and photocopying, printing and scanning facilities.

The university provides both indoor and outdoor games like chess, carrom, badminton, volleyball, basketball, cricket, football, etc and encourages students to participate. The university also organises sports competitions, where prizes and medals are awarded to the winners. Cricket tournaments like Sabarmati Cup are organised by the students, where the university students and participants from nearby areas take part.

The university IT infrastructure is well-maintained and manages the networking of the entire campus. All departments and offices are equipped with computers, connected with the high-speed internet.

The cafeteria serves hygienically prepared Indian vegetarian meals. Institute of Advanced Research cafeteria facility is available for students, university staff and faculty members.

Institute of Advanced Research transport facilities include a fleet of buses and are available for both the students and faculty members on a chargeable basis.

Institute of Advanced Research auditorium is used for multipurpose activities like organising events and seminars. The university auditorium is huge and can accommodate a large number of students.
