Kakatiya University, Warangal

The University maintains 10 hostels in Warangal town with a total intake of 800 students. Out of the 10 hostels, 9 are on the University Campus, While one hostel for Law College is located at the University Arts & Science College, Subedari.

Girls are now being temporarily accommodated in University Staff Quarters. A separate hostel for Research Scholars is available. A separte working Women's Hostel is coming up with the financial assistance from Ministry of Human Resource Development.

The University has established its Health Centre in the year 1976 with meager infrastructural facilities and with a permanent Medical Officer at University Campus and another unit at University Arts & Science College, Subedari. The unit located at University Arts & Science College, Subedari caters to the needs of the students and the staff of University PG College and University College of Law, Subedari.

The university has a gym facility of the students.

Kakatiya University, Warangal was established in 1976 by upgrading the then PG Centre of the Osmania University originally started in 1967. The main objective behind the establishment of this University was to provide educational facilities to the people of Northern Telangana. From 1967 to 1982 books were acquired by the University Library but maintained in the respective departments. It was on 18th November 1967 that the first book was entered in the annals of library records. Having felt the need for establishing a University Library for optimum utilization of library collection, University Library Building was constructed by Prof. K.Venkat Ramaiah, the first Vice-Chancellor of Kakatiya University widely considered the architect of the University. The building was inaugurated in the year 1982.

The university has provided an area of 45 acres of land for play fields with standard specification for games & sports like Athletics track and field, Football, Hockey, Cricket (4), Handball (2), Volleyball (2), Badminton (3), Ball Badminton, Basketball, Kabaddi (2), Kho-Kho (2), Table Tennis (2), Tennis, Gymnastic hall, Multy Gym with weight lifting facility.

The college has excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminar.

The college has a good networking for alumni association.

The College has Wi-fi facility for the students and staff.

The college has departmental based laboratories facility for the students.

An extension counter in the administrative building to facilitate the staff and the students to operate the regular transactions has been established for the convenience of the students.

The main banker of the university is the State Bank of Hyderabad. It has its branch on the campus and also an ATM near SDLCE building.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.
