The University students are required to stay in hostels with separate arrangements for post-graduate and undergraduate students. There is a common room with a T.V. with cable facilities, sports facilities, and a library having magazines and newspapers, etc. in the hostels. All students residing in the hostel are to abide by hostel and canteen regulations/ rules.

The University Library was established at Gandhinagar in the year 2015 which caters to the information and literature requirements of Post-Graduate students and teaching staff in the faculties of Veterinary and Animal Sciences, Dairy, Fisheries, and allied sciences. Presently the Library has a collection of Printed Books, Journals, Reports, and Back-Volumes of Journals and also subscribes to Popular Magazines and newspapers Dailies. The Library is automated using KOHA & SOUL 2.0 software. Online Access to Web OPAC: http://kamdhenu.bestbookbuddies.com/ Also, Collection development of books & other resources pertaining to Dairy Science is also done at the College of Dairy Science, Amreli which was established in the year 2010. The college library extends library services to the staff and undergraduate and postgraduate students of the college and has a collection of books, journals, popular magazines & newspaper dailies, and also has access to the J-Gate e-journals portal. Library Automation is done using SOUL 2.0 & KOHA. Collection development of books & other resources is also done at Polytechnic in Animal Husbandry at Rajpur(Nava), Himmatnagar which was established in the year 2011. The Polytechnic has books pertaining to Veterinary & Animal Science & subscribes to newspaper dailies and popular magazines for the staff and undergraduate students of the Polytechnic. Library Automation is done using SOUL 2.0.

Co-curricular activities along with Sports play a vital role in the development and maintenance of personality, physical fitness, health, and stamina. Along with the development of the academic career of the students, this University also puts in every effort to bring out the hidden qualities of the students by involving them in physical education, sports, cultural, adventurous activities, etc. at college, polytechnic, and university levels.
