The Mizoram University Aizawl campus has 12 halls for residence purposes. Out of these 7 are for boys. The hostels are equipped with large rooms, a shared accommodation system, a hygienic mess facility, a common room, TVC, water purification systems, a recreational room, and a laundry room.

Central Library, Mizoram University is housed in an area of 4,496.62 sq.m and has a collection of 1,01,726 books, besides other reading materials; these are supplemented by e-Resources received from INFLIBNET. Library building surrounded by trees is disabled-friendly, barrier free with ramps. It has a power back-up of 100 KW stand alone Solar PV Power Plant to ensure uninterrupted power supply. The Central Library earned the appreciation of NAAC Peer Team as ‘having good facilities, good maintenance and a beautiful library’ as well as ‘one of the best libraries not only in North-East India, but Eastern India’.

The MZU Sports Department is headed by the Assistant Director of Physical Education with three Coaches, one section officer, one UDC, one LDC and one Peon. The Sports Board under the Chairmanship of the Registrar, Mizoram University, and various members from within the state, arranges for different sports programmes for both within and outside the University which are then implemented by the Sports Department. The Department further plays a key role in taking the initiative for the development of sports activities within the State, and participation in the East Zone Inter University Sports and All India Inter University Sports.

Information & Communication Technology (ICT) Centre, previously known as Computer Centre, was setup in 2007 under UGC scheme " Establishment/Upgradation of Computer Centres in universities" for providing ICT related services to students, teaching and Non- teaching staff of the University. The Centre provides computing facilities to students and employees of the university.The Centre has a server room housing five high end servers which provide various services such as Internet, file sharing, etc. for the users. The University has Internet Connection with 1Gbps bandwidth under NKN (National Knowledge Network) scheme is shared over campus network.

The university has an auditorium facility for events and seminar.

The CIL is a project that is financed by DST, New Delhi. The CIL houses some of the best and acclaimed instruments for research conducted by faculty and students. The facility has advanced instruments for research in various domains like biological science, physics, environmental science, and other allied sciences. Some of the instruments present there among the 15 instruments are TEM, LCMS, RT-PCR, IED, DGCE, etc.

• All requests for reservation of rooms in the Guest House should be applied in writing to the Dy. Registrar (Estate) well in advance. Only those guests who are allotted rooms in the Estate Section should be accommodated.
• Proper check-out time will be strictly followed as far as practicab1 as below: – Check-out time: 12:00 Noon.
• All sums received as room rents, food charges or any other charges shall be received by the Manager in cash/cheque.
• All requests for ordered breakfast I lunch / dinner or tea etc from any individual or par other than staying Guest should be routed through Adm-III (Estate).
• All members of Court, Executive Council, Academic Council, Finance Committee, Selection Committee, External Examiners of the University and Chief Guest of Convocation or any other special guest of convocation or any other Guest declared official by the Vice Chancellor shall be treated as official guest of the University.
• All official Guests of the University as specified above shall be rendered 100% free fooding and lodging.
• For all other Guests who claim official status, he or his sponsor should obtain prior approval of the authority and enclose the same along with the application for reservation of rooms.
• The duration of stay for official Guest in the Guest House shall normally be not longer than 5 days. Any official guest staying longer than 5 days shall have to pay room rent and other charge as per normal rate.
• It shall be the responsible of each sponsor (the person who apply for reservation of room on behalf of his I her Guest) to ensure timely payment of bills on behalf of his I her Guest.
