Model Polytechnic College, Vadakara

The Model Polytechnic College Library has acquired a good collection of books and journals in Electronics, Computer Science, and related subjects like Science, Mathematics, and Management. The library provides information services such as current awareness services, selective dissemination of information services, reference services, bibliographic services, etc. The Library has approximately 2000 volumes of books and 60 journals. Books are classified according to the Dewey Decimal classification scheme and are cataloged according to Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules II, with local variation.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The Biomedical Workshop provides an area for the repair, maintenance, and calibration of biomedical equipment, used in the hospital.

The college has a transport facility for the students.

The final placements, in the Institute, result from very systematic interaction with the industry and continuous career counseling of the students. Right from the beginning of the program, students are continuously counseled about his/her career aspirations and options, which in turn is vigorously followed up with the potential companies for participating in the placement program of the Institute. This helps the students get their ‘dream’ jobs but also assists the visiting placement companies in identifying the ‘right’ candidate for their organization. However, the placement will be governed by Placement guidelines.

The college also provides extracurricular activities like NSS and NCC.
