Modern Institute of Teacher Education, Kohima

The college is equipped with the advanced technology of information systems to keep always in touch with the ongoing Student-Teachers. The e-SMS facility, WhatsApp Group, and Wi-Fi are some of them. Any information can be passed to the Student-Teachers at any point in time through e-SMS or even WhatsApp Groups. The Student-Teachers can use Wi-Fi free of cost inside the premises for educational purposes.

The college provides a Bus Facility for the Student-Teachers coming from the Kohima Municipal City area for their comfort and convenience.

The college has a well-ventilated Auditorium with sufficient sitting area and well-furnished equipment along with a stage for multi-purpose programs.

The Library of the college is digitalized with KOHA and well equipped with a good number of textbooks, reference books, journals, newspapers, computer Wi-Fi facility, INFLIBNET, Photocopy Machine, etc. catering to the needs of the trainees and faculty as well. The reading room is comfortably spacious and well-furnished. Separate library periods are provided in the college timetable. Every year the library attempts to add at least 10% more books, magazines, and journals in the academic as well as general interest sections.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The College Canteen is a large spacious area, with a view of greenery and a flowing stream, a variety of refreshments and meals are available. It tends to be a popular place on campus, not only for physical refreshment but also for student bonding, discussions, and even work on assignments and projects. An attractive RCC bridge joins the canteen with the College.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The Organization “Modern Institute of Teacher Education Kohima Alumni Association (MITEKAA)” was established in 2012 to provide ex-mean with a platform to bond with their Alma matter and their classmates.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has Classroom facilities for all students.

The college has a Wi-Fi facility for students and staff.

The college's Motive of the placement cell is to act as a facilitator to arrange campus visits and coordinate the recruitment process of the prospective employers of graduating students of the college.
