MRK Institute of Technology, Cuddalore

The College Boys’ Hostel is spread over two floors and accommodates about 600 students. The boys’ hostel has a separate library, reading room, shuttle courts, and a shop to facilitate the students. The hostel blocks also have an STD facility.

The College Girls’ Hostel is spread over two floors and accommodates about 500 students. The Girls’ hostel has Shuttle courts, Table tennis, and a shop to facilitate the students. The hostel blocks also have an STD facility.

THE MRK IT library was established in the year 2009. It is the best learning resource center, using a unique root architecture that allows soft natural light into the building while keeping the tropical heat out, and it was built up spaciously with 307.8 Sq.m. It has 18,260 Volumes of books with a worth of Rs. 61,00,699. It subscribes to around 800 National/International journals and 10 magazines. It has CDs/DVDs on various technical topics, project reports, and back volumes. The library also values the information available from the back issues of journals. These are categorized into separate bound volumes and are available for reference at all times. Indexing of the back issues is also done to facilitate easy access.

The college has a department-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college provides a canteen facility to the students as well as the teaching and non-teaching staff of the college. It is capable of catering to the demands of the students and can accommodate 400 people at a time.  

The College has a clinic, with a few beds, along with an on-call Doctor facility for 24 hours to take care of the health requirements of the hostel students, which is also made available.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure for the students.

The college has a well-equipped power gym and hydraulic gym (Air Conditioned) with the latest multiple machines. These gyms could accommodate 100 Students per session. Each session will be led by experienced trainers. The gym schedule is as follows: Physical fitness has been given the utmost importance. The college hostel is equipped with an air-conditioned gymnasium with state-of-the-art equipment, especially for men. 

The College Sports activities are given the utmost importance. Students regularly participate in all sports competitions and bring laurels to the institution and themselves. The sports complex is a marvel in itself, boasting cricket grounds, volleyball courts, basketball courts, throwball courts, kabaddi, and athletic tracks. Another added facility is an indoor sports complex with a fully equipped gym. The atmosphere and surroundings of the institution are conducive to developing sports personalities and sports activities.

The College main purpose of the Association is to provide a dynamic organization through which the Alumni of MRK IT Kattumannarkoil in the nation and the world, faculty, staff & students of the institute can interact with each other for mutual benefit and further nurture a lifelong intellectual and emotional relationship with the institute and its Alumni; thus providing a sustainable platform for effective networking, goodwill, and support.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The College has adequate buses which are made available to the students and the faculty members for commuting from various points in and around the town. All students should make use of the college transport or stay in the hostel. This facility has made it possible to start the classes on time and thereby helped the academic process.
