Nabinchandra College, Badarpur

The College has a well-improved library with a good collection of books covering a wide variety of subjects. Library facilities include the provision of reading rooms for students and teachers, a newspaper stand, lending of books, and other library materials. The library subscribes to a number of periodicals including different subject magazines and 3 to 4 newspapers (National & Local). It also stocks magazines, question papers, and information booklets. Library cards are issued to students to enable them to borrow books and other library materials. They can avail of library service from 11.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. on all working days. A student is allowed to borrow two books at a time for 10 days. Honors students enjoy better borrowing facilities. Students can make use of the reading room which remains open from 11.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m. for reading books and journals, making notes, reading newspapers, etc. The college library is now computerized with standard software provided free by the INFLIBNET Centre, Ahmedabad, with financial assistance from the UGC.

The College has offers facilities for cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, carrom, chess, etc. The college has its own playground in front of the college building in which the annual sports are held. Many more facilities are being procured.

The College has A computer laboratory in the college was opened during the session 2001-2002 for academic and administrative use.

The College has a canteen facility for the refreshment of the Students and Teachers.

The College has A Yoga and Gymnasium center has been opened in the college in the year 2006 with a qualified instructor to promote the physical and mental well-being of the students. A student can use the services of the center with a payment of Rs. 80.00 for one year. Students and employees willing to use the center for Yoga and Gym training may contact the instructor.

The College has A well-sophisticated sound-proof auditorium with triple projection/reflection for holding various functions of the college.

The College has A health center that has been set up with facilities like a first-aid and periodic health check-ups for the students and other members of the college community. Dr. Swapan Das, M.B.B.S., consultant physician, has signed an MOU with the college authorities to provide support to the center.

The College has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The College has One photocopier installed in the college. Students can copy any kind of study material at a concessional rate.

The College's campus is covered by LAN under ILL and WiFi network facilities for the students and staff.
