NMAMIT has separate hostel blocks for Boys on sharing basis in order to provide a good environment to the students to continue their studies in a healthy and caring atmosphere. Almost 50% of the students stay at Hostels. NMAMIT has 7 boys hostel blocks in the campus. Each hostel block is managed under the supervision of a Manager and co-workers at the hostel block. Each room in all the hostels has been furnished with cots, tables, chairs, wardrobe and a ceiling fan. The hostel runs vegetarian and non-vegetarian mess with North Indian and South India food to meet the needs of students from all over the country. Cultural events, self-development programs, academic support activities are conducted exclusively to hostel students on regular basis. All students are covered under the ‘Medicare Scheme’ which entitles them to free medical and dental treatment. An ambulance and a full time doctor are available in the campus clinic.

The College provides multi-gym facility that is equipped with individual exercise stations for weightlifting and powerlifting, along with a dedicated fitness center tailored for athletes.

The NMAMIT Central Library is housed in a main wing of the college academic building and is kept open from 8.00 A.M to 11 P.M for the benefit of the students, staff and research scholars. The library is fully automated. By the help of ‘KOHA’ an open source library automation software, all the functions of the library are being controlled without any problem. Barcode system is followed to issue and return of books and other documents. The library has a collection of 82317 volumes of text (31 March 2018) and reference books, 1300+ e-journals and 242 Technical Journals (in print) both national and international. The total area of the library is 31000sft and accommodates 750 students at a time. A well-furnished Audio/Visual center provides all sorts of self-study digital sources. The digital library subscribes to numerous E-resources and provides access to VTU Consortia online journals. The e-resources can be accessed across the Wi-Fi campus. The digital library subscribes to scholar online journals from ASME, ASCE, IEEE, Elsevier Science Direct, Springer, Taylor and Francis, Proquest, and Knimbus organizations. There are 25 computer systems provided to the users on LAN. The institute library is an active member of DELNET, which is the largest network library in the Asian region. As of today, more than 6000 technical libraries share their resources to help each other. In this platform, hard copies of books and other documents are exchanged among member libraries on inter-library-loan service. There is an archive of NPTEL sponsored video lectures. The library spends more than Rs.35.00 lacks only for learning resources in digital form. NMAMIT Library has conducted 8 national level workshop/ Seminar/conferences and one international conference. For the best utilization of its available resources the library has introduced some best practices like Library Awareness Quiz, ‘Library Week’ celebrations, New year celebration, initiation of an annual award namely, ‘best outgoing library user’, organizing periodical Book exhibitions, a student front ‘library and literary club’, which organizes various activities and competitions to inculcate regular reading and writing practice among the student community. The library has user- friendly book bank facility both for SC/ST and general category students. The reprographic facility, Audio/Visual section, Literature books library, Video lectures of institute faculties, and Government book bank, access to National Digital Library are the special attraction of NMAMIT Central library.

The primary aim of the Department throughout has been to offer to play opportunities to all college students’ desirous of practicing sports seriously. NMAMIT campus has 3 main cafeterias where students hang out to eat and chat. Sri Durga Cafeteria is where you get typical south Indian tasty food. It provides a variety of hygienically prepared delicious South Indian, Chinese food, Vegetarian, Non-Vegetarian, Chats, fresh fruit juice and varieties of Ice-creams. Kitchen Bells is one another attractive and hygienic place for students to eat where pizzas, burgers, noodles, cakes etc are available.

The College has a fleet of 32 buses for students and staff from Karkala, Mangaluru, Udupi, Kundapur, Bantwal, Belthangady. Around 900 students from various parts of the region use these bus services for conveyance to and from the College.

The Institute has two Commercial Bank units with ATM facility and a Post office available within the campus.

Guest House facility is available for parents and guardians of the students on a nominal rent whenever they visit the college and wish to stay during their visits. Booking has to be done by the student at least 3 days before their arrival. Guest house rooms are furnished with AC, Cot, Wardrobe, telephone, TV and Internet connection in each room. VIPs, Institute guests, and invited guests are accommodated in this guest house.
