The college has a collection of more than 5300 reference and textbooks, periodicals, video and audio cassettes, and CD ROM diskettes. To open opportunities for the students to develop their communicative skills, there is a separate provision made under the name CIICP. There are reference books and textbooks made available for the students and from time to time several books are added to motivate the students who are interested in the frantic pursuit of knowledge.

Extra Curricular Activities
The NSS unit of our institution was started in September 1995. The NSS unit of our polytechnic is functioning under the leadership of the Principal and Mr. C. Sivakumar as program officer. The NSS unit is involved in various community welfare activities like blood donation camps, polio, aids awareness camps, etc. For the past eight years, special camps have been conducted in tribal areas. In these camps, various programs like medical camps, free eye treatment camps, self-employment programs, etc., were conducted for the people. Mr. C. Sivakumar was awarded the BEST NSS Officer by the Directorate of Technical Education, Chennai for the academic year 2001-2002. A second NSS unit is also functioning under the leadership of The Principal and Mrs. R. Manjula as Program Officer.
Training and Placement Cell
This cell was started during the academic year 2000 – 2001. The placement cell is taking steps to interact with nearby industries to promote job opportunities for the students. This cell is arranging at least two industrial visits per semester per class.
