The college presently has female candidates accommodated in a hostel situated inside the campus (very clean, a nice environment at the riverside adjoining to the Institute) with a very nominal and subsidized price. Students are supplied with sufficient water and 24 hr. electricity (generator occasionally). Students may avail themselves of emergency health care and clinical facilities at a very nominal price from the eminent doctors and trained health personnel of the adjoining VIH hospital, which is sophisticated and ultramodern.

The college has a well-equipped modern library with a vast collection of textbooks, reference books, and journals. It provides free internet facilities to students for an intake day to a year of knowledge on subjects taught. OIST Midnapore library currently has a sufficient number of books on various aspects of business economics, computer science, biotechnology, information technology, etc., which also includes reference sources, encyclopedias, directories, handbooks, and manuals.

The college has a well-equipped student laboratory for Biochemistry, Biotechnology, Microbiology, Botany, Tissue culture, Bioinformatics, Chemistry, Physics, and other related Biological subjects. All students of the Oriental Institute of Science and Technology study with the help of laboratory practicals under the guidance of their subject teacher. They practice chemical solutions, tissue, cell, etc., in the lab.
