The College's existing library at SGIDT Patna offers excellent facilities to support teaching and research across various disciplines. The library provides access to national and international journals, periodicals, textbooks, and reference books. Equipped with internet facilities for reference purposes, the library ensures comprehensive access to information. Additionally, the central university library of Bihar Animal Sciences University, Patna, complements these resources with a substantial collection of journals, periodicals, and books on all subjects, along with proper internet facilities.

The College provides a well-equipped computer centre connected through LAN for internet access. Staff rooms and various laboratories are also provided with internet connectivity. This infrastructure supports faculty, students, and staff in training, teaching, computation, report preparation, and academic internet surfing. Most faculty members have access to the local area network (LAN) for broadband internet and other services on their desktops. Furthermore, a new computer language laboratory has been established at the institute.

The College offers sports facilities for all students, promoting physical fitness and extracurricular engagement.

The College is equipped with department-based laboratories to facilitate hands-on learning and practical experience for the students.

The College provides boys' hostel facilities for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. The hostel features outdoor and indoor sports facilities for the inmates, along with mess facilities to cater to their dietary needs. The hostel facility is available for both boys and girls pursuing the UG and PG programs. The hostels have sports facilities, including Volleyball and badminton courts. The new building of the hostel for boys and girls is under construction, and it will be ready soon.

The College offers girls' hostel facilities for undergraduate and postgraduate students. Similar to the boys' hostel, the girls' hostel is equipped with outdoor and indoor sports facilities, and mess facilities are available for the boarders. The hostel facility is available for both boys and girls pursuing the UG and PG programs. The hostels have sports facilities, including Volleyball and badminton courts. The new building of the hostel for boys and girls is under construction, and it will be ready soon.

The college has several spacious and state-of-the-art classrooms laced with modern equipment and facilities.  air-conditioned classrooms with audio-visual presentation equipment and modern facilities. A new lecture theatre complex is under the final stage of construction, which shall have one large hall on the ground floor with 175 seats that may be utilized as a mini-auditorium for organizing seminars, meetings, and small events, along with lectures. The complex has two 48-seated lecture halls on the first floor equipped with AudioVisual (AV) facilities. Engineering drawing laboratory, workshop laboratory, electrical technology laboratory, fluid mechanics laboratory, and Instrumentation engineering laboratory are part of the upcoming new building of Dairy Engineering, apart from the existing dairy and food process engineering laboratory.

The college offers placement opportunities to students in different organizations like StateMilk Federation (COMFED), private dairy & food plants, dairy training institutes, and allied industry/agencies.

The College new Lecture theater -cum- Auditorium complex is ready for use from the ensuingsession. The complex has two lecture theatres with a sitting capacity of 54 each, while the auditorium has a sitting capacity of 175.

The College, along with this, the experts continuously assist the end users to adopt the technological innovations in dairy farming, facilitate technology assessment and refinement of dairy-based innovations, undertake capacity development programs in dairy extension, and promote convergence and collaboration with line departments for sustainable dairy farming. The institute has also been extending consultancy services on an informal basis to dairy entrepreneurs in the state and has been instrumental in encouraging investment in fresh proposals and in the upgradation of existing processing facilities in the dairy sector. 

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.
