SD Jain Girls College, Dimapur

The College Library is housed on the first floor. It has books prescribed for the undergraduate courses. Important journals and newspapers are regularly subscribed to. The reading room of the Library provides adequate space for reading to at least 100 students at a time. It remains open during the working hours of the College. The Library Card is issued to the student to enable her to borrow books from the Library subject to the Library Rules as modified from time to time.

The College has provided Table Tennis, Carrom, as well as Chess Boards in the Auditorium cum Girls’ Common Room for the entertainment of the students during off periods. The annual sports meet is also held, which allows the budding athletes to showcase their talent.

The College has a good network for the alumni association.

The College has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The College has an excellent IT infrastructure for the students.

 The college, in order to instill and nurture a sense of security, community service, and to acquire basic life skills in self-defence, has obtained due permission from competent authorities to have the NCC Senior Girls Wing starting from the 2020-21 session. It was formally raised on 04 Oct 2020 by Colonel Abinash Pitre in the presence of his esteemed colleagues, inducted the new recruits, and exhorted the attendees.

The college has a Red Ribbon Club that educates people about HIV/AIDS in a special way. Members of the Red Ribbon Club create and raise awareness about the facts, the myths, and the stigma associated with HIV/AIDS through seminars and other educational and philanthropic events from time to time. Blood donation camps are a regular feature here in SDJGC.

The college has a Career Guidance and Counseling Cell that aims to help students make informed career choices. Among other things, its programs offer information on alternative course offerings, career options, the type of academic and occupational training needed to succeed in the workplace, and opportunities that are associated with their field of interest. Programs also often provide teachers, administrators, and parents with information they can use to support students' career exploration. Recognizing the importance of career guidance and counseling programs for students' post-secondary success, the Department plays a key role in supporting the State's efforts to build and implement these programs.
