The college has Since, its establishment in 1983 we have always tried to develop various facilities required such as Library, training and placement cell, sports, etc. SMIT has got a Central Library developed with an objective to make the available maximum amount of old as well the latest published material. Our library stock books required for all our departments Mechanical, Computer, Civil, E&TC, and Chemical. It also stocks books for subjects like Mathematics and Physics which form the foundation of engineering. Apart from that our Library also stocks books for reference, Language and communication skills, etc. Total No.of Book : 7985 ( 6218 + 1767 D) a) Reference Book : 1303 b) Text Book : 6282 ( 4915 + 1767 D) Working Hours:Monday to Friday11.00 am to 4.30 pm Saturday 10.00 am to 3.30 pm reading Hall/Reference section Monday to Saturday - 11:00 am to 4.30 pm infrastructure:Total Library Area: 120. Sq. Meters along with separate Reading halls and stocking Journals. The library is computerized with library software. Internet connectivity also is operated for the addition of new books selected from various websites; in addition to routine selection and procurement process.

The college has good sports facilities for indoor as well as outdoor games. Be it table tennis, soccer, cricket, volleyball, badminton, chess, carom, basketball, etc. we also have a coach to guide our students about the right techniques, attitude, and teaching them various strategies and tactics of different games.

The college has had a well-equipped state of the art labs and workshops for the mechanical engineering department. Last year we rolled out our first batch of Diploma holders. We have a State of the Art CAD/CAM center. We are planning to set up a state of the art labs in the coming year with CNC machines. Available Labs: Mass and Heat Transfer Lab, Theory of Machines Lab, Metrology Lab, Refrigeration and Air conditioning Lab, Power and Thermal, Engineering Lab, CAD/CAM Lab.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.
