Sree Sankara College, Kalady

The college has opened a new 40 bedded hostel block for girls, with preference given to PG students and those coming from distant places. The hostel is managed by a committee selected from the teaching staff with the Principal as the Chief Warden. A full-time Assistant warden and round-the-clock security service are also provided to ensure the smooth functioning of the hostel. Those desirous of securing admission to the hostel are required to submit the application to the Principal along with the recommendation of their respective HODs.

The College Sports division manages a full-fledged health club for the campus community.

The College Library subscribes to five English Newspapers, eight Malayalam dailies, 15 periodicals, and 60 journals. These reading materials are available in the general section.

The college constructed an indoor stadium with a wooden floor of 36×24×12.5 meters in dimension with financial assistance from UGC for various gaming activities including handball, basketball, volleyball, badminton, table tennis, etc. The indoor stadium is also capable of conducting stage shows, cultural events, etc. The facility is attached to a well-furnished green room and fitness center.

The college has established high tech fully air-conditioned computer laboratory equipped with high-end services and computers. Thirty-two computers are installed and interconnected through the Local Area Network and have a provision for further expansion in the near future. The laboratory is also connected by a Hi-speed internet facility. The college uses powerful computers for providing support for diverse computing requirements. The lab is equipped with an extensive collection of software including statistical, financial, accounting, programming, and simulations software. Each computer has a separate power backup using the Uninterrupted Power Supply facility. The Computer Lab is also equipped with LCD Projector and Screen, printers, scanners, and other equipment to meet student needs. Students can access the Internet and download relevant study materials and procure hard copies of the study materials with the assistance of staff at any time.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The College auditorium provides 1500 seating capacity.

The college is proud to have a vibrant Alumni Association which plays an active role in all curricular and co-curricular activities of the college. The alumni association comprises luminaries drawn from various fields including art, media, law, films, literature, and entrepreneurship.

The College campus is WiFi enabled by availing the facility provided by a centrally sponsored Scheme.

The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.

The College has a co-operative store for the students and teachers is functioning in the Commerce block of the college. Students can have working materials, printed notes, guides, and textbooks from there.
