Sri Aravindar Engineering College, Villupuram

The college has comprehensive hostel facilities for the students. Exclusively, three blocks are provided for men, accommodating more than 200 students. The Boys' Hostel of 3020 sq.m has more than 25 rooms spread over three floors and accommodates about 200 students in the second year. The boys' hostel has a separate library, reading room, shuttle courts, and a shop to facilitate the students. The hostel blocks also have an STD facility.

The college has a separate hostel for women. Exclusively, three blocks for women, in all accommodating more than 100 students are provided. The Girls' Hostel is constructed in 1330 sq.m. has more than 25 rooms and accommodates 120 students. A separate dining hall covering 200 sq.m, to accommodate 100 students at a time, is also available in this block. The girl's hostel has Shuttle courts, Table tennis, and a shop to facilitate the students. The hostel blocks also have STD facility

The college has A clinic, with a few beds along with an on-call Doctor facility for 24 hours to take care of the health requirements of the hostel students, is also made available.

The college has a library is the heart of an academic institution. Our institution encourages all students and staff members to make the best use of the library that has been carefully built up since the inception of the college. The library is housed in a spacious area of 625 sq.m., fully computerized and air-conditioned with a Reference Section, Magazine Section, and Stack Area. Presently there are more than 36,000 books and reference volumes stacked for the benefit of staff and students. There is an established media resource center. Our library follows the open access system and is encouraging students to browse in the stack area. The library subscribes to more than 180 specialized journals, over one-third of them being international. We are also a member of the US information service (USIS), British Council Library, CSIR, Delnet, Malignant, IIT, CII, Madras Productivity Council, and Anna University.

The college has facilities that are made available in playfields for various games and sports like volleyball, football, cricket, badminton, tennis and Athletics, Chess & Carom, etc. on the campus. The college conducts sports meets and encourages students for participate in the Inter-Collegiate events. The students are given sufficient time to play regularly in the institution and the talented students are sent to participate in the inter-college competitions. Some of the students have represented Anna University in the Inter-University Tournament.

The College Computer center has 1300 computers to afford computing facilities and Internet services. The working environment is open and it facilitates smooth functioning of the centre and effective utilization of the resources.

The college has a canteen that is functioning within the premises of the College to serve hygienically prepared food to the staff and students. A subsidized mess is also operative in the campus. A separate mess for boys has been provided.

The college has an auditorium with 500 seats with audio-visual equipment is available.

The college has full-fledged Transport department functions in the College with buses to provide transport facility to students and staff from various places. This service is offered to ensure hassle-free and safe transportation.

The college has a departmental based laboratory facility for the students.

The college has a separate gymnasium for women is also annexed with the Girls Hostel. The Girls Hostel has a full-fledged air-conditioned Beauty Parlor attached to it.
