St Joseph's College, Moolamattom

The College provides a residential facility for men. The men's hostel is run by private individuals. Students who do not live with their proper guardians or in the College Hostel must give full details of their lodging to the Principal

The College provides a residential facility for women. The women's hostel is run by the S.H. Sisters. Students who do not live with their proper guardians or in the College Hostel must give full details of their lodging to the Principal.

The College has an auditorium with a seating capacity of 700 people. It has a separate built-up dais, a green room, and a storehouse.

The college has a library facility for all students. The Central Library functions on the ground floor of the College. There are three separate sections – one for newspapers, periodicals, and journals, the second one for subject books, and the third one for career guidance and reference books. In addition to the 20,000 books, the College subscribes to journals, newspapers, and periodicals. E-journals. The services of a Librarian and an Assistant Librarian are made available on all working days.

The college has a fairly well-equipped Computer Centre. It offers short-term and long-term courses to the staff, students, and also to outsiders. The practical classes in the subject of computer studies are held in the computer lab equipped with 70 computers.

The college has a department-based laboratory facility for the students.

The College student has stationery available in the co-operative store run by the society, and it is open on all working days. It also provides financial aid to a few selected needy students.

The College canteen is available on the College campus and is open on all working days. It is run on a contract basis and can hold around 100 students at a time. A College Canteen is run on a contract basis within the campus. The Principal monitors its functioning and ensures the quality of its service.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The College has Gymnasium is available for students in the College. Time is allotted to students for using the Gym facility.  

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The College has a classroom equipped with an LCD projector and a screen to make PowerPoint and video presentations by students and teachers. In addition to this, a room with an interactive SMART Board and an LCD projector has also been set up for general use. The software provided by SMART Technologies is being used for this.

The college has the Life Line Club aims at the integrated development of all children in our college. Though it promotes every upstanding activity, primarily it focuses on the anti-narcotics movement in and around the college campus. The club collaborates with various government departments like the Excise Department, Electricity Board, Energy Management Center, etc., for the scientific and legal conveyance of messages. It channels concepts and ideas by organizing rallies, street plays, brochures, workshops, seminars, etc.

The college has a Placement Cell in our college offers a platform for our students to actualize their full potential and achieve laurels in their careers. The Cell coordinates the career opportunities for the students and equips them to come out with flying colors. The Cell caters to the needs of the students by meeting industrial demands, and numerous students avail the guidance of the Cell to attain their desired goals.
