Suren Das College, Hajo

The College Library is a two-storied building occupying a floor area of more than 4000 sq. ft. There is a spacious reading room to accommodate at least 150 students at a time for self-study. The library has around 19,500 books, 15 magazines, and periodicals, and more than 12 national and regional dailies. It has an internet facility with e-journals (50 databases of national & international journals), 90,000 ebooks as well a photocopying facility. It follows open access system and enjoys library Automation with Soul (Network Version), library management software developed by INFLIBNET (Information and Library Network Centre Ahmedabad). The best Reader Award is conferred to students annually from amongst the regular users of the Library.

The college has sports facilities for all students. A basketball court is constructed. 

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students. The College Canteen remains open during class hours that provide hygienic food at a nominal rate. There is a Canteen Committee to look after its management. 

The college has a sophisticated auditorium with a capacity to accommodate approximately 500 persons, fitted with the latest equipment Sound system, large dice, etc 

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students. A fully AC Computer Lab consisting of around 30 branded computers loaded with windows latest version is also available in the college. All computers are based on Pentium IV and Dual Core Technology. The Computers are connected to LAN through a central server. 

Language Lab: The College has a well-equipped Language Lab. It is an effective electronic audiovisual aid for acquiring proficiency in any language through the software of Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing. (LSRW). 

The college has a multi-gym is situated on the 2nd floor of the Science Building. Students, teachers, and even outsiders can avail of this facility on payment of a nominal fee.

The College has a Girls’ Hostel that can accommodate more than 100 borders. Hostel seats will be offered only to unmarried girl students.

The college has a set up one smart classroom which is expected to benefit the students immensely. 

The college has 10 Mbps high-speed Wi-Fi with a lease line facility.

The college has Placement facility for all the students

The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.
