The Library system consists of the Central Library, five campus libraries, forty departmental libraries, and libraries of the centers of advanced studies. The libraries are spread over eight major campuses. The University Library, at present, has a collection of more than 8 lakh books. Besides books, the eight campuses of the University together possess nearly 1.5 lakh bound journals, Ph.D. theses, proceedings of conferences, reports, maps, standards, patents, manuscripts, CD-ROMs, etc. The Central, campus and departmental libraries serve the entire University community. The University Libraries provide access to more than 7 thousand electronic journals and over 58 thousand electronic books for all its users in all campuses.
