Vasanta College for Women, Varanasi

The college has a college has two hostels for students. The hostel is known as a college with an accommodation capacity of 150+70 girls. College Hostel functions under the aegis of Rajghat Education Centre, Krishnamurti Foundation India, Varanasi. After admission, the students may be allotted a hostel on merit, distance, and need basis. The campus has a resident doctor and the clinic has all the basic amenities to treat students and give them all indoor hospital facilities. The training and skill development programs are also organized for students like Cooking Classes, Yoga, Beautician, Personality Development, Fine Arts, French Diploma, Dance and Music, etc. Girls actively participate in all academic and co-curricular activities organized in the hostels. These activities include the Fresher, Induction Program, Janmashtami Celebration, Saraswati Puja and Farewell, etc. 

The college has a Health Centre on KFI Campus working 24X7 hours with two resident doctors and two nurses having 24 beds with an ambulance facility. It attends to students’ medical needs in case of emergency.

The College's importance of exercise cannot be neglected for good physical and mental health. The institute offers a Gymnasium facility to all its students and staff. The gym here has all the modern equipment for workouts and is made available to students during morning and evening hours.

The college has a well-equipped and spacious library on the campus. The ground floor has a reading area, a stack room, and a computer lab for the teachers. The second floor comprises a Reference and Periodical section, Knowledge Centre having more than forty computers with internet facility and three printers. The Library has an extensive collection of approximately 45,463 books on Arts, Social Sciences, Education, and Commerce and leading Newspapers in English and Hindi, Periodicals (National and from abroad), a collection of Encyclopaedias, etc. The library is open for all the staff and students on all working days. They may avail of its facilities according to the prescribed rules.

The college has a Sport plays a pivotal role in shaping a student’s personality and maintaining good health. There are many sports facilities in the college to keep our students physically fit i.e. Basketball, Volleyball, Table Tennis and Badminton, etc. The campus has a different ground for these sports with lush green grass. An experienced coach trains the students. These games are played by a large number of students and elected for the BHU and other Sports events. Taekwondo and Yoga classes are also there for students.

The  College Computer Lab known as Knowledge Center is equipped with 41 computers with internet and printers for the students. It is established in the library of the college.

The college canteen is within the campus. All types of snacks, soft drinks, and meals are there for the students. It is open for all and there is a separate seating arrangement for staff and students. The hygienically prepared food is available at specially subsidized rates. Fast food is not allowed for the students. Fresh fruits and juices are made available to the staff/students at a different counter.

The college has an Assembly Hall / Auditorium with a seating capacity of around 700 people. This hall is a regular venue for cultural programs, lectures, conferences, workshops, seminars, etc. The auditorium is well-furnished with LCD projectors, whiteboards, and an audio system for delivering lectures with access to the internet, which provides ample opportunity for staff and students to exhibit their talents in various activities.

The College has an Alumni meeting held annually/bi-annually. They provide valuable suggestions for the all-around development of the college.

The college has Wi-Fi connectivity on the campus.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members

The college has a transport facility for students and staff.
