Nowgong Girls College, Nagaon

The college has three hostels, namely Padmawati Devi Phooknani Hostel, Swahid Bhogeswari Phooknani Hostel, and the new RCC Hostel. Their intake capacity is 65, 72, and 70, respectively. Hostel seats are limited and allocated strictly on merit. Seats are, however, reserved for SC/ST/OBC students as per rules. Every border must follow the hostel rules strictly. There is a provision for an uninterrupted power supply in the hostel through solar energy.

The college has a spacious auditorium with all modern amenities. It is equipped with overhead and multimedia projector facilities.

The college has a hygienic and well-maintained canteen where students, teachers, and employees of the college can have food at a reasonable price.

The college sports Cell conducts all sports events. There are volleyball and badminton grounds on the campus. An Indoor stadium has been constructed near the hostel to enhance the extra-curricular potential of the students.

The college library is named as Mahesh Chandra Dev Goswami Library which is housed in a two storied building and is well equipped with more than 46000 reading materials that comprises of text and reference books, dictionaries, encyclopedias, rachanawalis and novels etc. the ground floor houses the stack area, circulation and reference section where as the first floor comprises of the reading room and the digital section. Apart from that, there is a Xerox facility for the users, and a total of 16 computers are available for the students and 4 for the staff to perform the library functions. The library uses KOHA software for library management and provides e-resources to users with the help of UGC-Infonet and N-List of INFLIBNET. The books are tagged with barcode for easy retrieval, and the users can access e-resources through D-space, where quite a good number of information sources, such as e-books and journals, manuscripts, college publications, theses, and MRPs can be browsed. Because the majority of the students hail from an economically weaker section, the library feels its moral obligation to provide a larger number of books for a longer period.

The college has been made Wi-Fi-enabled recently. This has been done for the health and better academic pursuits of the students and teachers.

The college has two well-equipped computer centers with internet connectivity. The students can avail of the internet facility at a concessional rate.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college has a departmental based laboratories facility for the students.

The college has a health centre with a first aid facility for the students.

The college Post office the entire Now Gung Girls' College family and the locality, which are highly benefitted by it, and has almost all essential and modern facilities of postal communication and investment. Apart from that, there is a Xerox facility for the users.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college has clubs in which students can join.

The college also provide extra curricular activities to encourage students.

The college has a placement cell facility for all students.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.
