PAC Ramasamy Raja Polytechnic College, Rajapalayam

The College hostel is run by the P.A.C. Ramasamy Raja Education Charity Trust. There are as many as 85 rooms available and each room can accommodate four to eight students. With the available infrastructure facilities, a total number of 650 students can stay in the hostel. Ceiling fans, sufficient lights, and blackboards are provided in each room. Vegetarian food is served in the hostel. A modern kitchen with steam cooking ranges, a pollution-free dust exhaust system, and modular dining tables are provided so as to make the entire atmosphere hygienic.

The College deems the Library as the Learning Resource Centre which caters to the needs of all the stakeholders by stocking the latest Books numbering more than 17000 on Technical and General Areas. The latest configuration computers are provided to a library to enable the students to browse educational CDs. The library houses a wide range of books on all subjects, study materials, reference books, journals, magazines, periodicals, newspapers, and education CDs.

The college has sports facilities for all students.

This college does not offer a separate discipline in Computer Science, we have 3 sophisticated and state-of-the-art computer centers to cater to the needs of all stakeholders. All these 3 centers are equipped with more than 110 systems with the latest configurations. A sufficient number of laser printers are provided. Computer Centre has an HP Design Jet 430 plotter to take printouts pertaining to Building Layout, HVAC Duct layout, and Electrical, and Plumbing drawings.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The College Language Laboratory: Theory papers Communication English I and II are included in the syllabus for the First Year students. Students are exposed to Letter Writing, Report Writing, etc. Physics Laboratory: Engineering Physics Theory papers are being taught to students of First-Year Engineering and Technology. In order to supplement the theory, we are conducting practicals on topics such as Light, Electricity, Magnetism, Electrolysis, etc. Chemistry Laboratory: Engineering Chemistry I and II are taught for First-Year students. Apart from the theory papers, students have a practical in Applied Chemistry. Students are exposed to Salt Analysis, in which students identify acid and base radicals.

The college has a convenience store facility for students. (like Co-operative Stores, Book Depot).

The college has Banks/ATM (Nationalised Bank) facilities for all students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The Motive of the placement cell is to act as a facilitator to arrange campus visits and coordinate the recruitment process of the prospective employers of graduating students of the college.
