Boys Hostel

There are at present three hostels under the supervision of the college. These are called Students' Homes because attempts are made to create a homely atmosphere there. Although fellow-feeling, goodwill and understanding form the basis of life at such homes, strict discipline is maintained simultaneously. Students admitted to the college are accommodated in any one of the homes at the discretion of the authorities. This being an entirely residential institution, the students' homes are an integral part of the college and the rules, regulations etc.

Medical/Hospital

The Ashrama has a well-equipped hospital (Arogya Bhavana) with 27 beds. Qualified doctors are in regular attendance, and some specialists visit every week. Outdoor treatment is offered everyday and when necessary, the boys are admitted to the hospital for indoor care. There is a free charitable dispensary attached to the hospital which looks after the health of local Harijan population.

Gym

A twelve station Multigym was installed at the Brahmananda Bhavana kitchen complex for the benefit of the boys. Our Secretary Maharaj, Swami Asaktanandaji Maharaj consecrated it on April 26, 2001. The students are encouraged to use this facility to keep their physique healthy for their all-round development. Regular training is imparted to the students to develop their skills in physical exercises.

Library

There is a General library in the College with a highly rich collection of books for the pupils of both PG & UG. It has a wing named 'Text-Book Library' from which books are lent to students on a long-term basis. In addition, each Honours department of the college has a 'Seminar Library' separately consisting of text and reference books. Total no. of books (up to 31st March 2018): 88254 The no. of books issued last year (1st April 2017 – 31st March 2018) by staffs & students: 10831. The no. of Periodicals (print) subscribed & purchased (up to 31st March 2018): 38. The no. of e-journals under N-LIST programme of INFLIBNET subscribed (up to 31st March 2018): 6237+ The no. of e-books under N-LIST programme of INFLIBNET subscribed (up to 31st March 2018): 3135809+

Sports

Regular training is given to the students to develop skills in sports, physical exercises and athletics. There is a Central Council of Physical Education which works jointly with the College Council of Games and Sports for this purpose. Under the supervision of qualified instructors, students are trained in parades and physical exercises as well as in games and sports. Football, cricket, volley ball, basketball, hockey etc. are played in different seasons of the year. The vast playing fields and the stadium offer them ample space. The competitive matches are all held in the Ashrama Stadium. Our college also hosts various University Championships at this venue. Indoor games such as table tennis and carom are very popular. A state-of-the-art Swimming Pool has been constructed recently near the hostels where the students take regular swimming exercise.

Alumni Associations

It is the ex-students' body dedicated to serving the people in need. The forum works incessantly to facilitate close interaction among its members as well as to stay by them when they need help. It extends regular financial assistance to the needy bona-fide as well as the ex-students along with other needy students of the locality. It assists people seeking medical help. Financial help is given to the Bhavana workers at the time of their retirement. The members of the Executive Committee request all the former students to become Life Member of the Narendrapur Ramakrishna Mission Mahavidyalaya Praktani by paying Rs. 1100/- (LM Fee: 1000/- + Admission Fee: 100/-) (Rs. One thousand one hundred only) each.
