The college offers in its hostel a comfortable place to relax which makes one feel at home. All students of the college have been lodged in a hostel for boys, which does not include day scholars. These furnished hostels are equipped with modern amenities and facilities for sports and recreation such as TV, outdoor games, indoor games, etc. Net surfing facilities are also available on Wi-Fi-enabled systems.

The college has First aid and elementary medical facilities are available in the hostel through a qualified and highly experienced MBBS doctor, Dr. M.P. Garg. In case of emergency, the patient student is taken to the nearest medical practitioner/hospital for which a van is available 24x7 hrs. the basis on the campus, and the local guardian of the student is immediately informed. The local guardian takes charge of the ward thereafter and all medical expenses shall be borne by him. The entire responsibility of treatment will rest with the parent / local guardian/ student concerned.

The college Gym classes provide students with physical exercise consistently. It is particularly important for the physical well-being of children who do not engage in physical activities outside of school. A good physical education class will feature activities that raise the heart rate, increase the pulse rate, and rev up metabolism. According to the American Heart Association, gym classes can help teach children skills that can help them be active in their whole lives. Physical exertion also helps the mind, as children will find they can think more clearly and are able to focus better in other classes following a physical education period.

The college library is a genuine powerhouse of knowledge for professional studies and research; it provides a vast and constantly up-to-date resource to the students to ensure their overall development. The Library of RIT is well stocked with a 33’000+ good collection of books covering a wide spectrum of disciplines e.g. M Tech, MBA, MCA, B Tech, and Polytechnic.

The college has a healthy nation is always a wealthy nation. Therefore, it is necessary to emphasize sports. Keeping this spirit life, URJA (the sports club), at Roorkee Institute of Technology endeavors to organize outdoor games such as volleyball, basketball, lawn tennis, cricket, soccer, etc. round the clock for the upliftment of students. Indoor games such as table tennis, billiards, snooker, etc. are also available for students. A state-of-the-art, air-conditioned gymnasium, is also available for students to test their muscles and become fit. RIT also provides free-of-cost self-defense training – karate, judo for girls to make them independent. Indoor Sports: Indoor games/activities like Table Tennis, Chess, Carom, etc. are provided by the institute. Outdoor sports: RIT has outdoor sports facilities for Cricket, Football, Volleyball, Badminton, etc. The spacious grounds of the institute are maintained for this purpose.

The college has established a modern air-conditioned Computer Centre having Internet facility with dedicated wideband RF Link – 100 Mbps. The entire RIT campus is covered with a Wi-Fi facility and connected to the Local Area Network. RIT also provides free Internet facilities to all the students in the hostels.

The college has a cafeteria which is kept open for 15 hrs a day. It provides a wide range of eatables including tea, coffee, samosas, burger, chowmein, dosa, etc., and some essential stationery items too. The students refresh themselves in the cafeteria in prescribed off hours. It is especially useful for the hostellers as it is open for the whole night during the examination period.

The college takes pride in exhibiting a state-of-the-art auditorium, located at the heart of the campus. It has been constructed keeping in mind the smallest of details and is well equipped with the latest technology. It portrays a perfect example of modern architecture and is certainly one of its kind in entire Northern India. As a result of the world-class infrastructure, RIT Institute over the years has been ranked among the "Top 10 engineering colleges in Uttarakhand". The auditorium is a multi-use concert hall with wonderful acoustics and a warm and welcoming ambiance. It is a perfect venue for non-academic and academic events such as music, dance, and theatre performances, as well as lectures, conferences, and videos. The Auditorium has a seating capacity of 400 people and is centrally air-conditioned. It contains state-of-the-art lighting and a full range of audiovisual equipment. It houses a Dolby surround sound system and has a very powerful and specially imported projector for multiple uses ranging from showing slides to watching motivational videos and high-resolution movies.

The college has Transport for daily commuting is generally one of the worries of parents. To enable students to free themselves from the worries of transportation, we have made arrangements for College buses for students as well as staff. The college is running bus services from different locations so that students hailing from any location within Roorkee will have a nearby pickup gumdrop back point to board the college bus to come to college and to go back home. This will make them free from the mental tension of driving or taking public transport system, to come to the college and go back, so that they fully concentrate on their studies. Parents also can have peace of mind while their wards are out in the college and need not worry about the traffic and driving problem.
