Saroop Rani Government College for Women, Amritsar

The college has well-equipped hostel accommodation for approximately 250 girls coming from rural and remote areas. The facilities provided by the hostel include a safe drinking water facility, a hygienic mess providing nutritious food, well-maintained lawns, and neat and clean washrooms. The hostel has a separate generator that provides power backup as and when needed. The common room of the hostel is used for recreation purposes. The activities of the hostel include a farewell party for the outgoing hostelers and celebrations of religious functions, namely Janmashtami, Diwali, and Gurpurabs, by the students.

The college has Students and faculty members who are constantly kept aware of the latest Books/ Journals added to the library through the display of selected books' jackets on the library notice Board. A list of Journals, Magazines, & Newspapers subscribed to by the Library is also displayed on the notice board.

The college has a department-based laboratory facility for the students.

The college auditorium has a 650 seating capacity with Integrated light and sound, well-designed acoustics, motorized curtains, attached ample green room, multimedia-enabled, catwalk-mounted lights, and dynamically controlled LED lights. 

The College has a Student Center cum Canteen. It is the space for fun and frolic as well as it is a flood zone.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college has a 36-seater bus to cater to the transportation needs of the college. Students can avail of its service for excursions, industry visits, educational tours, and University visits to Youth Festival events.

The college has a lady doctor who has been engaged by the college authorities for on-call visits and bi-weekly visits to the hostel. A well-trained Nurse has been appointed in the college dispensary to deal with the emergencies of the day scholars.
