The college has a boys’ hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students. There are 2 blocks (Old and New) in this complex with a common mess that serves not only the students but also staff members of the University and guests. A total of 1222 rooms (including 520 A/c rooms) are available on a ‘single’ or ‘sharing’ (max. 2 persons) accommodation basis with common bath and toilet facilities. NRI Gents Hostel:- There are 368 deluxe rooms with A/c and attached bath & toilet facilities available on a ‘single’ accommodation basis. Apart from the usual amenities, this hostel has a large conference room on its ground floor and 2 lifts.

The college has a girl's hostel facility with a total of 866 rooms (including 256 A/c rooms with attached bath & toilet) available. Among the 610 non-A/c rooms with common bath and toilet facilities, 68 rooms have provision for split A/c. The special features of this complex include a dedicated space/room for yoga & gymnasium and table tennis. It also has a garment shop & beauty parlor. With a total of 408 non-A/c rooms with a common bath & toilet in each complex, accommodation is available on a ‘single’ as well as a ‘sharing’ basis. Ladies Hostel V – NRI Hostel:- This complex has 336 single, A/c rooms with attached bath & toilet facilities. It also has 2 kitchens, ‘Sakthi’ and ‘Ashok’ with 3 dining halls which serve all the students as well as parents/visitors/guests. In addition to the other usual amenities, it has 2 lifts.

The college has a library facility for all students. with a rich collection of 54500 books classified under “Dewey Decimal Classification” and more than 700 hard copies of journals and more than 100000 back issues. These “serials” are cataloged in “National Union Catalogue for Scientific Serials” (NUCCI). For ready reference, 6612 copies of Dissertations and 200 Theses are available in physical copies. They have also been uploaded in the “Shodhganga” Reservoir. A book bank functions efficiently as part of the library. A large area is set apart in the library, to enable students to study with their own books. This can seat 252 students, which is in addition to the 270 seats available in the main library. provides free access to more than 4500 CD-ROMs, DVDs, and 1500 online journals that can be accessed by the EZ proxy server in and out of the campus. Our digital library is indeed a showpiece. In addition, two Internet labs with over 60 computer systems are available for use by any member of the university free of cost.

The college has a well-established transport department providing extensive transport facilities. Apart from rendering service for day-to-day commutation of the staff and students within Chennai and its suburbs, the transport department also takes care of the following travel needs.
