The college has 14 blocks allotted for Men of capacity varying from 200 to 1000 students in each block. The total capacity for Men’s hostel is about 7500.

The college has 7 blocks allotted for Women students of capacity varying from 250 to 700 in each block. The total capacity for the Women’s hostel is about 4000.

The College Students of SRM have access to medical facilities at various places, apart from a 24-hour dispensary that has been set up on campus with a doctor on call. The SRM Hospital at West Mambalam has facilities for several diagnostic procedures such as ECG, X-Ray, and laboratory investigation.

Health insurance cover for all students is one of the additional services under active consideration.
