Tagore Government College of Education, Port Blair

The College is proud of having a library with more than 13000 books. It remains open on all the working days of the College from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and books are issued during this period. It has a Reading Room, Reference Section, and Journal Section for the benefit of the trainees and staff.

The College is to meet the requirements of Digital Electronics and Microprocessor for the trainees of Computer Science, and a well-equipped electronic lab is functioning in the College. It has 4 working tables with a Microprocessor kit where 12 trainees can work simultaneously.

The College has two Computer Labs. Computer Lab-I is equipped with around 30 computers, and Lab-II has 12 computers to make the trainees savvy with computer technology.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The college has an auditorium facility for events and seminars.

The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.

The college has good networking for the alumni association.

The college offers a boys’ hostel facility, providing good hostel accommodation for its students.

The college has a girls' hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The Motive of the placement cell is to act as a facilitator to arrange campus visits and coordinate the recruitment process of the prospective employers of graduating students of the college.

The College has a separate Microteaching Lab cum-Smart Classroom where trainees are given training to develop various teaching skills individually. It is also used as a Smart Classroom where trainees are exposed to digital teaching.

The College has a separate internet room for the benefit of the trainees and staff with a leased line connection.
