Trivenidevi Bhalotia College, Burdwan

The college Was a separate central Library Building designed to cater to the college’s current and future teaching and research interests. The primary mission of the library Is to support the educational program of the college by providing access to rich physical and digital repositories of learning resources. It has a very rich and unique collection of approximately 85000 books, ancient manuscripts, periodicals, magazines, and Journals for reading, referencing, or borrowing.

The college has a boys’ hostel accommodation situated in the northeastern part of the college campus. The hostel accommodates 100 students in 20 rooms with sufficient water and electricity supply. The two-storied building is thoughtfully designed and has a separate dining hall. The messing system of the hostel runs by the boarders maintaining proper hygienic conditions. Ragging is strictly prohibited in the hostel according to Government order. There is a separate study room, an indoor games room along with internet access.  Accommodation in the hostel is offered in accordance with the policies established by the college administration. One dedicated and sincere faculty member has been deputed as the Hostel Super of the hostel.

The college has a canteen situated within the college campus adjacent to the main entrance of the college. It is open for all and there are separate dining arrangements for students and staff. AD types of snacks, soft drinks, and meals are available at subsidized rates. 

The college has sports facilities for all students In its quest to promote the holistic development of students, the college encourages its students to participate in Sports. Such participation nurtures not only piiysác& dexterity, athleticism, and a spirit of competition but also social interaction. The college authority organázes annual sports every year.

The college has started the construction of an auditorium with the following facilities like CENTRALISED AIR-CONDITIONING SYSTEM, SOUND PROOF AUDIO WITH MULTIMEDIA PROJECTION SYSTEM, CARPETED DIAS, AND WORLD CLASS SITTING ARRANGEMENT with 100 sitting capacity, on the roof of the VIVEKANANDA BHAVAN. The Central Library of the college functions on the ground floor of the VIVEKANANDA BHAVAN. The total built-up area of the auditorium will be approx. 500 sq. meter. The tentative date of completion of the project is the middle of 2023. A major portion of financial assistance is provided by RUSA 2.0.

The college has guest house/waiting room facilities for visiting faculty and student family members.

The college has a departmental-based laboratories facility for the students.

The college has an excellent IT Infrastructure facility for the students.

The college has an Alumni Association that comprises es student members from different walks of life. The association has been raising funds arid has also launched a number of academic, social, and cultural programs including a Health Awareness camp.

The college believes in the motto of ‘men sana in corpore sano’ a body based on the principle a gym is housed on the college premises. The gym remains open five days per week Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and Saturday. The working hours are 7.00 am-10.00 am and 12.00-4.00 pm. The gym can accommodate 100 students per year. All Students are internal. The student enjoys modern multigym facilities which include bicycle ergometers, twisters, and dumbbells.

The college has a Classroom facility for the students.

The college has Motive for the placement cell is to act as a facilitator to arrange campus visits and coordinate the recruitment process of the prospective employers of graduating students of the college.
