Library

The college has a well-equipped library for the students. The library also subscribes to national and international journals/ magazines and newspapers, both local and national, with easy accessibility for the students. Last year's question papers are kept in the library for the benefit of the students. The students are encouraged to use the library for their reference work. Working Hours: The College Library will remain open to students on all working days from 8:00 A.M. to 3:30 P.M.

Sports

The College Both outdoor and indoor, play an important role in the life of an individual. Every student is encouraged to take part in sports activities. Every year the college takes an active part in various sporting activities. Umshyrpi College celebrates its college week annually which is dedicated to providing recreation and unleashing the creativity of the students. Outdoor sports, singing, dancing, floral arrangements, and competitions are held, and students are encouraged to take part in these activities.

I.T Infrastructure

The College crossed yet another milestone with the opening of the Computer Centre by the member of Lok Sabha Mr P.R. Kyndiah, on June 17th, 2002. This brought the students of Umshyrpi College into the world of Information Technology and also gave the students another optional paper on Computer Applications. At present, the Computer Centre is offering courses as per MBOSE and NEHU syllabi for Class XI, XII, and undergraduates with a total student strength of over 200.

Auditorium

The college has a newly built, splendid auditorium with a seating capacity of approximately 250. The building of the auditorium is well furnished with the basic infrastructure of a modern standard auditorium, such as a good sound system, a large stage, and a proper lighting system etc. The Auditorium of Umshyrpi College was inaugurated on 4th April 2011, by Janab Salman Khursheed, the then Hon’ble Union Minister of Minority Affairs & Water Resource, Govt. of India in the presence of Late C.Z. Ghafoor, the then President, Governing Body, and Janab Sayeedullah Nongrum(MLA), the then Vice-President, Governing Body, who is the present President, Governing Body, Umshyrpi College. The occasion was also graced by Dr. Mukul Sangma, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Govt. of Meghalaya, Smti. Ampareen Lyngdoh, the then Hon’ble Minister of Education, Govt. of Meghalaya, Shri F.W. Momin, the then Hon’ble Minister of Community & Rural Development and Irrigation, Govt. of Meghalaya.

Laboratories

The College keeping up with the needs of society the College introduced a science stream up to Class XII in the year 2007. The College produced excellent results in XII Science in 2009. The College is contemplating opening a B.B.A/BSc. shortly subject to the permission of NEHU.

Cafeteria

The College canteen has excellent infrastructure to the standard of providing culinary classes for students. It also provides excellent service for customers with a variety of food items.

Alumni Associations

The college has a good networking for the alumni association.

Medical/Hospital

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

Transport Facility

The Institute has its own bus to provide transport facilities to the students and faculty throughout Shillong City.

The College has well-furnished and hygienic classrooms. Each classroom provides sufficient space for the number of students accommodated to it.
