VV College of Science and Technology, Palakkad

The Library is a collection of books, sources, resources, and the structure in which it is housed that is organized and made accessible for reading or study. To accomplish this need, V. V. College of Science and Technology has a fully digitalized e-library named “SWADHYAAYA” housed on the first floor of the main building. DDC (Dewey Decimal Classification) system is used for classifying the books and the activities of the library are automated with “KOHA” software. The library also provides OPAC (Online Public Access Catalogue) the library also has a good collection of books and CDs in the fields of Commerce, Computer Science, Geography, Mathematics, Electronics, English Literature, Hindi, Malayalam, Tamil, and Miscellaneous. The college also provides 15 more journals, 25 more periodicals, 5 newspapers, copies of dissertations and projects of past years, and our college yearly magazine named “PRANAVAM” is also included in the collection of the library. The students can access e-resources through net-connected computer systems.

The college has a departmental-based laboratory facility for the students.

The College has a well-equipped auditorium with a good audio system, which is well-illuminated and ventilated. This multipurpose auditorium is a resourceful addition to the infrastructural facilities of V V College Kanjikode, especially useful for large gatherings of students at functions, cultural meets, and conferences.

The College has a well-equipped Computer lab with 75 computers with Broadband connection. We have three computer labs for PG and UG courses individually. The lab is equipped with almost all recent versions of software offering practical sessions not only for computer science students of BCA, BSC computer science, and MSC computer science but also for students especially those doing B. Com Computer Applications, BSc Mathematics, BSc Electronics, and BSc Geography.

The college has a football and cricket pitch. In addition, we have one basketball and volleyball court. The college also provides facilities for indoor games carom, table tennis, and a well-equipped gym.

The college has a transport facility for students and staff.

The college has a spacious and clean canteen. The canteen functioning on the college campus, serves quality food items on all working days to the students and staff at a moderate rate.

The college has a good networking for the alumni association.

The college has a Girls' hostel facility which provides good hostel accommodation for the students.

The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.

The college co-operative store opens on all working days. Essential items including books and other study materials are distributed through this store.

The college has a Gym facility for the students.

The placement cell plays an important role in placing job opportunities for UG and PG final-year students from the college. The placement cell interacts with reputed firms in the state and nearby states to arrange campus placement for final-year students. The number of students placed through campus interviews is continuously rising. Many reputed MNCs visit the college to conduct interviews and pick the right candidates.

The college has Extra-Curricular activity facilities for all students.
