NDRI Karnal provides separate hostels for boys. The institute offers five well-equipped boys hostels. The hostels ensure comfortable living of the students by providing them all the modern amenities such as well furnished rooms, Wi-Fi facilities, common and reading rooms etc. The hostel is totally under CCTV surveillance for the security purposes of the students. Security guards are also stationed at the entrance of the boys hostel 24*7.

The institute provides a well-equipped girls hostel. The hostels provide all the modern facilities and amenities to its students. The hostel is under CCTV surveillance at various places for safety and security purposes. 24*7 security is also provided by security guards stationed at the entrance of the hostel.

The library of NDRI Karnal has a wide collection of books, magazines, national and international journals on dairying and other related subjects. To stay up with current scientific/technical developments, the institute subscribes to global and national magazines. There are also bound journals, bulletins, thesis, CD-ROMs, microfilms, and reproductions in books and volumes.

The campus has a healthcare complex that provides first aid for the emergency purposes of teachers and students. The healthcare complex has well-qualified and trained nurses, laboratory technicians and pharmacists to assist the doctors.

NDRI Karnal also has good Wi-Fi connectivity for the practical learning purposes of the students.

The college has a well-equipped sportsground for cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, chess, carrom etc.

The institute has a fully air conditioned auditorium which is used for a variety of purposes such as guest lecturers, speaker sessions and hosting a variety of cultural events.

The institute has departmental-based laboratories for the benefit of the students. The lab has a variety of technology such as- developed embryonic stem cells and produced 5 embryonic buffalo stem cell lines and 2 spermatogonial stem cell lines.

The institute provides a well-furnished Guest House with 10 double bed AC rooms, a Scientists' Home with 14 double bed and 5 non-AC rooms, for the comfortable stay of the guests.
