NIMHANS Bangalore has a separate hostel for boys. NIMHANS Bangalore boys hostel is situated near the administrative block of the National Institute of Mental Health and Neuro Science Bangalore. The boys’ hostel has 81 single occupancy rooms as well as 18 cubicles and 4 dormitories.

The institute has a separate hostel for female students named Cauvery Hostel. The hostel has 110 rooms, both single and double occupancy which can accommodate 179 trainees. Most of the rooms have attached bathrooms. NIMHANS Bangalore girls hostel facilities include mess facilities, study hall, housekeeping, hot water facility etc. In addition to this, the institute has a Kabini Hostel complex inaugurated on 18 August 2012, accommodation in this hostel is on a single occupancy basis. Kabini Hostel complex has six floors, consisting of 32 rooms. In total, the hostel complex has 192 rooms.
