The University boys' hostel with a capacity of 100 has been named after Viswanath Kabiraj, a reputed Sanskrit Scholar knew throughout the country for his monumental work “SAHITYA DARPAN”. In the hostel, students are provided with board and lodging facilities at a subsidized rate. A recreation Centre, a Common room, and provisions for indoor games have also been created, thereby enabling the border to spend their leisure in a constructive way.

The University provides regular health check-ups for the students and employees. In this direction, I am in constant touch with CDMO, Puri, for emergencies. The college efforts have been fulfilling, and the benefit is enjoyed by all to their satisfaction.

The University's majestic central library brings art to the grandeur of the physics of the University, constructed in the year 1991. The Library contains 35000 books, 500 reference journals, and 200 manuscripts. The library building has an ideal reading room that can be used by more than 300 students at a time. Library automation, which is a basic necessity for library modernization, has been effectively initiated, and for this purpose, 3 nos. of technical assistance has been engaged with UGC financial support. There is also a special provision for the presentation of palm leaf manuscripts, which will be edited in case of time and published by the research center for the benefit of the students and researchers. The proposal for the opening of an e-library is under the active consideration of the administration and will be initiated during the Current academic year.

The University, to enable the students to face the hard competition in the job market, the students of traditional Sanskrit in computer education along with their normal curriculum and the programme has been running successfully since 2002. The whole system is organised and controlled by a nodal computer centre with the HOD, Department of Nyaya as Course Co-ordinator. In the meantime, steps have been taken for the upgradation of the centre with financial support from the UGC. The achievement will naturally grow the moment the upgraded structure begins operating within a short span of time.
