Tumkur University facilities and infrastructure include a central library. The central library is situated in the Dr V.S. Acharya Memorial Block is well organised. Tumkur University library has a large collection of books and journals. In the library, there is a book bank facility for the benefit of the students, books purchased from the Special Component Plan and Tribal Special Plan Grant. The central library has a good collection of competitive exam books which is helping the Tumkur University students to prepare for the competitive exams. The library provides reprography services that help the users to get the photocopy of the required information. Tumkur University library has computers with internet connectivity. There is a subject-wise list of CDs which can be accessed by using the computers. It also provides internet facilities to the faculty. The library has subscriptions for journals and magazines, newspapers. A reading room facility is available, that helps the users to know about the local, regional and national news. For the benefit of students, the library has created a catalogue of e-resources including Online Public Access Catalogue (OPAC), competitive learning corner, a digital library for accessing UGC INFLIBNET e-resources and a reference section with a wireless internet facility.

Tumkur University facilities include a sports facility for the students. The university provides opportunities for students to excel in various sports activities. The wide campus has well-maintained large playgrounds for cricket and football, and these sports facilities provide opportunities for students to take part in outdoor games. Basketball, volleyball, and tennis all have their own courts, and these games provide greater opportunities for the sports aspirants.

The university has well-equipped IT infrastructure facilities on the campus for its students.

Tumkur University has converted its campus into a fully internet-connected campus. Now, any faculty member or student on campus can access the internet anywhere at any time. There are LAN terminals and wi-fi devices on campus.  The development of using Information Communication Technology (ICT) has been utilized for academics.  The university provides all ICT facilities to its primary stakeholders.

Tumkur University facilities and infrastructure include a departmental-based library for the students on the campus. These laboratories have lab equipment for practical and experimental purposes.

Two well-furnished guest houses are available at the university. A faculty guest house is available for accommodating the teaching faculty members who are visiting the campus from other universities for examination work, evaluations, conferences, seminars, and other academic activities. Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya Bhavan is a fully furnished, air-conditioned house for accomodating VIPs.

Students hailing from socially and economically marginalized groups (SC/ST) will be provided with hostel facilities. The hostels are maintained with the financial support provided by the Social Welfare Department, and the regulations of the Social Welfare Department and the University are followed while admitting the students to the hostels.

In the girls’ hostel, there are several facilities for the students. Admission to the girls’ hostel is made through the Selection Committee as per the Tumkur University rules.
