The University hostel provides a mess facility to its boarders at reasonable rates. Indoor sports and recreational facilities are available along with other basic facilities. For accommodation in these hostels, the office of the Dean of Students Welfare invites applications from eligible and bona fide candidates. The allotment is made by a committee approved for the purpose according to certain prescribed norms. Meritorious students and those belonging to far-flung areas of the state are given preference. The detailed rules and regulations governing hostel accommodation can be obtained from the office of the Dean of Students' Welfare. However, some of the basic rules are listed below: - Each selected student is required to give an affidavit to the effect that he/she will abide by hostel rules and regulations,s failing which his/her hostel admission will be canceled. - Each student is required to join the hostel mess as self-cooking is not allowed. Full-time wardens are employed in both campuses to manage the day-to-day affairs of the Hostels.
