Vels University offers food and accommodation to students with facilities like laundry, wifi, mess, canteen, ac or non-ac rooms as per request. Students can also make use of recreational rooms for sports activities.

Vels University established a resource centre for enabling students to acquire additional knowledge other than from classrooms. Institute has a well-equipped library with a seating capacity of 500 persons. Library provide various services like references, current awareness services, reprographic services and so on. There are both indoor and outdoor sports facilities for students. Cricket ground, volleyball court, basketball court, and football ground are present at Vels University. Students are encouraged to participate in sports events conducted by the university.

Vels University provides healthy and delicious food in its three cafeterias: Spice Kitchen, Kaasi Bhavan, and Jeevan Sandwich, which operate at different timings.

Vels University has six air-conditioned conference halls that are well-equipped with the latest audio-visual technology. It also has four auditoriums that can seat 16,000 people and are used to conduct various seminars, conferences, cultural programmes, and inter-university fests.

Vels University offers transportation facilities from different parts of the city to the campus. For travel purposes, the campus has approximately 150 college buses running daily.

Vels University offers around 173 laboratories in different departments and it helps students to perform hands-on experiments and gain practical knowledge.
