Vidyasagar University, Midnapore

The university has two boys hostels known as Old Boys Hostel and New Boys Hotel. VU, Medinipur hostel facilities include computers with access to internet, indoor and outdoor games facilities along with a television set for recreational purposes of the students.

Vidyasagar University, Medinipur hostel facilities include 2 girls hostels known as Old Girls Hostel and New Girls Hostel. The hostels are well-maintained and have a number of facilities for the ease and comfort of students. The hostels are supplied with a number of daily newspapers and journals.  

The university has a medical unit with one medical officer, two medical assistants and one lady general assistant. The unit has first-aid along with medicines for emergencies. The VU University medical facilities include an ambulance as well. 

Vidyasagar University has a central library that houses a wide range of textbooks, reference books, bound volumes of journals, standards, among other things. The VU University library facilities also include a well-equipped digital resource centre. The library also has access to e-resources.

The university has facilities for multiple sports. The university holds regular sports events and tournaments of volleyball, football, cricket, kho-kho and others. The university also sends its students to participate in different inter-college tournaments as well. 

The university has an excellent IT infrastructure that is easily accessible to all students and staff. The institute provides 24 hours high-speed internet connectivity.

The university also has a facility for a guest house on its campus. The guest house is primarily used for waiting parents, delegates, staff members and such people. The Guest Houses provide beddings that include bed sheet, pillow, sheets, pillow-cover, blanket and mattresses.

The university also allows access to high-speed wi-fi to all its students.
