Boys Hostel

SVU Tirupati facilities and infrastructure include boys’ hostels for men’s and there are ten blocks in the boys’ hostels such as blocks A, B, C, D, E, F, G, H, I and S. Students and research scholars from the constituent colleges of Arts, Sciences, and Commerce, Management, and Computer Science are accommodated in Janardhan Bhavan. SVU College of Engineering students and scholars are accommodated in four blocks: Visweswara, Viswakarma, Viswateja, and Viswapragathi. Cots, tables, and chairs are available in the SVU Tirupati boys’ hostel rooms. A television is provided in each block. Apart from that, each block has Telugu and English newspapers, as well as competitive news to help students prepare for various competitive examinations. During the summer, however, all students are required to leave the hostels. In SVU Tirupati boys’ hostel rooms, no electrical items, such as a heater or an electric stove, should be used. In the SVU Tirupati boys’ hostels, a book bank facility is also available. Only limited accommodation is available in the university hostels for men. Admission to SVU Tirupati boys’ hostels will be made as per rules and regulations in vogue. Accommodation cannot be provided in the University hostels to any student who is a native of any area within a 20 km radius of Tirupati.

Girls Hostel

SVU Tirupati facilities and infrastructure include girls’ hostels for female students on the campus. The Sri Venkateswara University girls’ hostels are comprised of I and II premises with 9 blocks that accommodate all types of female students enrolled on S.V. University's four constituent colleges. The SVU Tirupati girls’ hostel is operated on a no-profit, no-loss basis. The girls’ hostel expenditures are shared evenly among the inmates. In each block, there are common halls with televisions and telephones. There are four messes in which the food is served. In the girls’ hostel premises, water coolers and protected water using mineral water facilities are available. In both places, a computer centre and a library are available for inmates to use.

Medical/Hospital

In the year 1963, Sri Venkateswara University Health Centre was established. It is a service-oriented mini-hospital that provides free medical care to S.V.University students, research scholars, employees, and their dependent family members such as parents and unmarried children, retirees and their spouses, as well as guests and visitors to the University on various programmes.

The centre’s average daily outpatient population is around 300. One senior medical officer, one lady junior medical officer, and two junior medical officers are assisted by paramedical staff members. On specific days, specialist consultancy services in general medicines, general surgery, dental surgery and Opthalmology drawn from the specialists of S.V.R.R. Government General Hospital, Tirupati are available at the health centre. Outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment with 12 beds, minor surgical operations, antenatal check-ups and postnatal care, immunisation, annual medical check-ups for students, and call-duty services are all available at the centre. For diagnostic purposes, the centre also contains a Clinical laboratory and Bio-chemical laboratory, as well as X-Rays, Dental X-Rays, E.C.G., and an ambulance van is there for the transport of the patients. It has proposals to purchase diagnostic equipment such as an ultrasound scanner and an upper gastrointestinal endoscope.

Gym

Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupati has a well-maintained gymnasium for the students. The gymnasium has well-equipped and modern gym equipment for workouts and fitness activities.

Library

SVU Tirupati facilities and infrastructure includes a central library. The SVU Tirupati library began in the year 1955 with a small collection of 6,700 volumes of books taken from the Sri Venkateswara College, Tirupati administered by Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. The SVU Tirupati library, which is centrally located and conveniently accessible to all departments on campus has gradually increased over the years and as it has 3,68,315 documents. Textbooks, reference books, general books, gift books, reports, back volumes of journals, M.Phil., Ph.D., dissertations, and e-documents are among the library's collections. The library subscribes to about 465 current journals of national and international importance by spending Rs.6.75 lakhs per year.

The library is organised into 11 sections in order to enhance functional efficiency. Circulation Section, Book Acquisitions Section, Periodicals section, Technical Processing Section, Stack Area, Stack Area, Reference section, Competitive Examinations cell & Text Book section, Binding section, Digital library, and Administrative section are the sections available in the library. The library follows an Open Access System in all the wings of the Library. Besides the book lending service, the library offers Reader’s Advisory service, Reference service, Reprographic service, Inter-Library loan facility and Facility to Search e-journals, OPAC, databases and internet resources.

Sports

SVU Tirupati has one outdoor stadium with 400 meters standard clay track with a big pavilion and galleries with facilities for playing games like cricket, football, handball, volleyball, kho-kho and kabaddi.

I.T Infrastructure

SVU Tirupati facilities and infrastructure includes well-equipped IT infrastructure on the campus. There is one internet hub near the men's hostels with ten PCs and internet connectivity. On all days except Sundays, the hub is open from 7 am to 9.00 am and from 4 pm to 10 pm.  This facility is available to students outside of class hours and a  similar one is available in the women's hostel.

Cafeteria

The university has canteen facilities on the campus premises for students and staff members. The canteen serves healthy and nutritious food to students and faculty members. Foods items are available at a reasonable price.

Auditorium

SVU Tirupati facilities and infrastructure includes an SVU auditorium and an SVU open auditorium.

Banks/ATMs

The university has banking facilities with an ATM on its campus, besides a regular post office. The campus has a modern telecom centre that provides telephone, fax, e-mail and telegraphic services.
